Rovaniemi & the Levi area
Start with March for snow with daylight, among November, December and March. At Apukka near Rovaniemi and Kittilä Pakatti south of Levi, every observed March day in 2011–2025 had at least 4 inches (10 cm) of snow. Mid-March has about 11½ hours of daylight.
December has much shorter days. November's snow varies more, so confirm your must-do activity before choosing dates.

Levi uses stored snow for selected slopes and its First Snow track before the wider natural-snow network opens. In Rovaniemi, check the specific snowmobile departure dates and snow-hotel season; a glass igloo being open does not mean the snow hotel is operating.
